Cueva de Saturno

Just 12 kilometers from Matanzas lies one of the most spectacular sites of the Cuban geography not too well-known: La Cueva de Saturno. The Cave is located about 20 meters deep and is filled with stalactites and stalagmites. It features an 18-meter deep lake with waters so clear that they allow observing its bottom, turning it into a true natural swimming pool, where one can enjoy a refreshing swim or diving. The presence of submerged stalagmites suggests that this cave was not always flooded by water. It also has galleries where fish and blind shrimps swim.
