The Terraces and San Juan River

Las Terrazas is a small rural tourist community of sustainable development that offers you a unique environment to connect with nature. The Las Terrazas project arose at the end of the 1960s with the aim of recovering an area that had been destroyed by the intensive cultivation of coffee in the 19th century, so that millions of trees were planted in an area of 5,000 hectares, terraces were dug for cultivation and a small town was built following guidelines that respect nature. Las Terrazas is located in a privileged environment that will captivate you. Its leafy hills full of exotic birds, its refreshing baths that flow in the middle of nature and the San Juan River that crosses its fields, are just some of the natural wonders that await you here. 💡Curiosities The best dates to visit the Terraces are from the beginning of December to the end of May, during the dry season, since all the activities take place outdoors. 🏆 Recognition This place is part of the Sierra del Rosario, listed by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve in 1985. ◽Services Diverse and varied activities are offered.
