The valley was one of the largest sugar regions, after the boom in the sugar industry, Trinidad became one of the cities with the highest economic level. Quite a few archeological sites and haciendas from the time are still preserved, such as Manaca-Iznaga, Buena Vista, Delicias, Guáimaro and Magua. Another of the beautiful attractions that the Valle de los Ingenios gives us is the Slave Route, from where we can visit the Mirador del Valle and the beautiful views it offers over the Trinidad plain. Following that route, we arrive at Casa Guanichango, an old hacienda converted into a cafeteria and restaurant. To end the day you can go to the Jabira Waterfall, about 8 km from there, and take a refreshing swim. 🏆 Recognition UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. 🗺 How to get there? To get to this valley in Cuba, the visitor can use a local train that arrives every day from Trinidad or a steam engine from 1919 that works as a tourist train with a circuit of two and a half hours. 📍Surrounding area In its surroundings you can also visit the Manaca Iznaga tower.
